Holiday Coupon Train

All Aboard! That’s right we are going to try to help out as many readers as we can by getting you all more coupons for the holiday season so that you can have a wonderful table full of food for your holiday season. Many of the normal charities that give out holiday food baskets do not have the funds to be doing it this season.

I have been trying to think of a frugal way and a fun way that we can all help eachother out this holiday season to have everything that everyone needs to have a wonderful meal with friends and family. So I will be working hard to make this season a success for all of Frugal Diva Frenzy readers and help out as much as I can so that we can ensure that all of you as well as the local homeless shelters and charities have the food that they need so that everyone can have a bright holiday season.

I will be starting the Holiday Coupon Train up on Oct. 26th, I will be putting in coupons for the first person on the train to receive so that it will get the train started. Each person who takes part will go through the coupons and take what they need and put the coupons that they do not use back into the envelope to send onto the next person so that there is always a good selection of coupons available to everyone in the coupon train. If there are expired coupons in the envelope please remove them. Then add to the amount in the envelope. Please make sure that the coupons that you put in have some time to give the person who gets them time to use them. They will not help if they expire before they get them. We always want to have a great selection of coupons available to everyone to help everyone out with what they need.

Our goal is to help all the Frugal Diva Frenzy readers that sign up for the coupon train. The more we can help the better the holiday for everyone. We know the holiday season is a rough time for many so we would like to make it a little easier on everyone. So be sure to put in those coupons that your not going to use to help the next person on the train and that way the train will keep moving along to each person.

Here is how the train works:

* You have the envelope for 3 days to go through and put in your new coupons that your not going to use.

* Send the coupon to your coupon train partner so they can get their coupons.

* Keep putting in the new coupons and taking out expired coupons

* The coupon train will go till Jan. 12th, 2012 to be sure to help everyone through Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New year.

* Please Do Not hold up the train as it could mean someone not getting coupons for their holiday meals or gifts.

Those that would like to Take Part Pleaes email me at frugaldivafrenzy@gmail.com and I will be emailing partners out to you on Oct. 26th to get everyone started. Please put the heading as Holiday coupon Train.

  1. can we please make sure we are putting adequate postage on our envelopes so that we are guaranteed to get our envelopes. And we don’t have the postman/postwoman asking for money when they deliver the envelopes.

    • Good idea! Mine came with just one stamp, bo I sent it back out that way; didn’t even think about getting it checked first. Hope it got to my partner ok.

      Teresa

PS: I am hoping that there will be enough interest to continue the program after th holidays!

  4. My envelope went out Friday p.m. to my partner Jennifer Roach. Enjoy!

P.S. I won $100 in coupons from one blog and 30+ inserts from another, so I’m going to have a LOT to add next time. Added some really good ones this time, as well, though.

P.P.S. Is it okay to also add computer printed coupons?

  5. I got my coupons yesterday,I had to pay .84 cents to pick them up, not enough postage ,had 13 outdated coupons in it (2 was from 10/11/2011)and I only found 5 that I wanted..I mail it out today to my buddy,Theresa Davis, I paid $1.32 to mail it..Theresa ,I hope you have better luck then me..

    • I’m sorry Kim, that you found expired coupons in your envelope. I will send out another reminder that all the expired coupons should be removed or ones that could expire during the mailing process. As for the postage, I am to blame for the postage problem. Since I had not been in a coupon train in a while I had mailed it out with just 1 stamp like we use to do so there was the problem with the postage I should have went to the post office to have it mailed so that it was correct when we started the train. So there was a little bit of confusion due to the first envelopes that I mailed out. So I do apologize for the postage aspect. that was my error.

  6. I mailed my packet out to Cindy in MO, I had it 2 day expressed, I gained a lot from what I was given and I hope Cindy feels the same!! Thank you!

  7. I just got a HUGE envelope from Ciny in MO! Found a bunch I can use and cleaned out all the ones that expired or will expire in the next couple of days. Are we continuing this on? I don’t know who to send to if we are.

    • Hold onto it Teresa, I’m going to do a post tomorrow to see who would still like to be on the train and who would like to be removed. Then we will go from there to see who partners will be. :)
